LWCAD general
Architectural standards

Does anyone have a link to a site that gives typical standards for things like wall thickness & height, door height & width, thickness, eave overhang, etc.? I've done some searching but quickly got bogged down with too much technical & regs.

Hello Mark, it is very different for each country or continent.
That is the reason I am not even trying to add some standard libraries to LWCAD.

But if anybody find some international standard repository, please let me know!

Since LWCAD 2018 we have a new preset system for dimensions for various tools.
This dimensions system will be expanded more in next versions.

For example in Window tool, you can now save various sizes of the window, and then with a single click restore saved sizes on different windows or places.
That size is stored in files which can be shared with other tools, for example Box, or Rectangle tool.

That would be great, thanks.

I realized yestereday that I do know someone who is an architect and might have pointers to what I'm looking for. Just haven't dropped him a note yet.

Looking forward to the next release Viktor. The beta teaser had some nice things in the works.

One book you can probably find in any used book store "Architectural Graphic Standards" Ramsey/Sleeper
The student version can be found for $5 to $20 dollars. It's written for North American standards.
