LwCad for 3dsMax
Help building walls

Can anyone please give me a few pointers as to how to build the outside walls of a house, been playing around with the demo version for a couple of hours now but wall building skills are not happening for me. There seems to be no beginners guide or anything like that, the manual is practically useless, as i can see this is a fantastic plugin for 3DS Max but I can't get my head around even the basics.

Many many thanks

Beginner's training on wall-building is scheduled for the next major update of LWCAD max.
Together with more tools for creating walls by several different methods.

Anyway, current Wall tool is pretty straightforward to use.
I am bit interested what is actually the problem on your side to understand.
In case you are interested I can show you.
Please send me your Skype contact via Support and when I can reach you:

There's a point to what he says. It misses a few key functions.. or maybe they exists but not very intuitive.
For example:
How do you delete a selected vertex or joint? Lets say I made a mistake in the middle of the drawing and decided to deal with it later:

  • Delete - removes the entire object.
  • Backspace - does nothing.
  • RMB -> Modify -> Untick "locked" -> "delete last" will always delete the last vertex.. as expected.
  • CTRL/ALT/SHIFT+RMB/LMB/DELETE does nothing relevant.

Or another example:
Lets say I decided that a hall is too wide and I want it to be narrower by exactly 37.6cm.
How do you select a specific wall and just move it?
For example in Revit or AutoCAD Architecture its very simple:

  1. Poke the wall.
  2. Move Command.
  3. Define direction, input value and spam enter.

Or maybe I am missing something.. since I gave it a shot only under 3dsmax 2019..
