LwCad for LightWave
Create curve with constant segment length.

Is there a solution to devide lw cad curve into segmenth with a constant lenght? So each point should have the same distance towards the next one. Iam pretty sure there is an easy way to get this in lw-cad.

Version : LW CAD 2020.01

My target is to get a lw curve with a constant point distance for sending this one to Layout and create Spline Control from this.

Thanks for your support smile

Menu : Cad20 Edit >> Edit Tools >> Divide

You can divide the curve segments into pieces of the same length.

Next version will have this tool updated for all geometry types (polygons, NURBS surfaces)

Hello Viktor thx for your reply.
Divide tool was only visible after eding it from from LW2018 tools.

Seems to work. But when convert curve to lightwave curve with 1 segmentation
there still some inbetween points. Maybe the ones which definde the spline curve?

See attachment. So it really would be cool to get this feature working. We often need some
regular deviding of curves.

Thanks a lot
