Yes, waiting for the R20 version too! Viktor said they're working on it.

Unfortunately porting LWCAD to R20 is much more complicated.
Some parts must be rewritten again.
It will take some more time.

I am sorry about this delay, but MAXON decided to cut backward compatibility which makes a lot of problems for third party developers.

Yep, waiting here too. I'd also be interested to know if any of the new LWCAD features will be making their way to C4D at any point. Feels like it's been a long time since the C4D version was shown any love...

Given that it has been over 6 months since Viktor replied my guess is this is dead. Wish I had never purchased it. smile

Of course it is not dead.
You can send a big thanks to Maxon for breaking compatibility with R20.
This update for R20 is a nightmare.
I really don't know how much more time it will take.

Can you give some infos about the future of the plugin?

The R20 and also the R21 version need a new compiling.

Did you do this? ... or is the future development R19 only? ... or only R21+ ... or nothing.

Please info!

Best regards,
Thomas

Sorry for delay with this.
Unfortunately LWCAD cinema port have to be rewritten from scratch.
It is work in progress now.

We have been working on Cinema port almost three years, and Maxon thrashed our work with a single R20 release.
Single compatibility break, trashed all our work.

I am very frustrated with this. I cannot promise you any ETA for R20-21 version.

Hi Viktor

Thanks a lot for your replies.

I know, Maxon changed their core but don't get me wrong, this change affected 90% of plugins on the market and a lot of them have been updated in a couple of months or less.

One year is passed now, I guess you need another year at least?
I am sorry, it is too late for me.

Regards
AM

i'm still interested and waiting ;-) and btw imo there is a market for this!

did you check if R19 version can be used with insydium bridge on R20? maybe only a few updates are needed to make it workable. this is how some other companies did keep their plugins running over the time they needed to rewrite everything.

cheers and keep the good work.

p.s. after many years i've switchedfrom lightwave to cinema to keep my work productive. hope we can stay connected :-)

I really apologize for a huge delay.
But finally I have good news.
LWCAD project is rewritten for R20(21).
R20 update completely broke some of our dual automated systems for 3dsmax and C4d.
So a lot of stuff has been rewritten manually.
It still has some bugs and crashes.
But I hope that public beta testing will start very soon.
Maybe a week or two, maximum within a month.
