Hi All , i am still using Lightwave 11.5 and have a licensed Copy of LwCad v 4.5 i want to install LWCAD 4.5 but i cant find the Installer anymore the link from the Purchase Email is broken and i have no Money to either upgrade Lightwave or LWCAD.
Is there any Chance to get a working version of LWCAD 4.5

Hi I bought a model from a third party that was almost all tri's. When subdivided, it caused lots of non smooth surfaces, so I manually removed the 'extra' diagonal, to form tri's. Easy but time consuming - Is there a tool/algorithm or easy way to this?

I just thought I would mention that in the most recent LWCAD newsletter I received it says a 2nd developer has now been hired and one of his jobs will be "porting LWCAD to other 3D applications". I'm hoping that it means LWCAD tools will be ported to Modo in the future. What do you think?

Often I get DWG plans from architects which have a lot of overlapping lines, meaning lines that sit on top of each other but don't share the end points, one is longer than the other. Curvs to surf command gets confused by this and it doesn't produce a good polygonal model. How to deal with this issue prior to curvs to surf command. I notice in the system requirements for LWCAD Lite it mentions r17 for Windows and r18 for OSX but not r17 for OSX. Is it in fact incompatible with that version? If so, are there any plans to make it available for r17 OSX? Thanks.

Perhaps someone can help me with the pipe tool. I am not new to LWCAD, but never really used the pipe tool before. I cannot get the pipe tool to draw around corners? Example, take a cube, start drawing on one plane or face then click on the next plane or face, in this case 90 degrees to the original. I will not turn. Always stays on the original plane. Tried resetting the tool, reinstalling

The current OpenGL button are hard to see on a grey backdrop and hi-res display. I suggest giving us the ability to change the text size (as well as the button size) and also pick colours we like, rather than just use red and green (neither of which works that well on a mid-grey canvas).
Also, when you click the '2D' OGL button it disappears, rather than change colour and remains as a toggle
Creating a road center-line is fairly simple but could be improved. (way better than native tools) That got me thinking about the more general case of lines that are tangent to circular arcs. The type of curve I am talking about is a series of straight segments and arc segments that always have the characteristic of being tangent and the arc segments are circular arcs.
I've created a fairly simple building from a floor plan and added some windows to it. But, the windows I created last week only show up as holes in the walls in LW. The ones I created yesterday show up in Modeler and LW though. I don't think I created them as instances last week, but maybe did? Is there anyway to tell? A simple way to convert them to polys if I did
It would be awesome if LWCAD could somehow deal with .stp curves. Right now, to use CAD data in Lightwave it has to be converted to mesh and often we get errors in smoothing, flipping polys or geometry missing. Being able to use the nurbs curves would be a dream come true.
It was already the case with LWcad previous releases when snapping features: LW cad actually sees hidden geometries (in active layer or background). With V5 and following and the new selection system this problem becomes really unworkable around, eg: ctrl click empty space on screen selects all geometry, even what is hidden; when working on an heavy layer/object this turns into a nightm
