Add drawing levels/elevations so when drafting on the selected level, things are place on that level. In pro arch programs, this is a given.
Or at least make the Z level, when changed to place a wall up to another level, keep that number instead of having to re-enter it every point.

More dimension abilities. Very important. Printable.

Dxf import scaling control would help.

Dear LWCAD LightWave users.

First of all, I wish you all the best for 2020.

And I want to inform you about the status of LWCAD for LightWave.
The development is on schedule with a little delay and some adjustments.
But, you can expect the features to be delivered in 2020, as outlined in https://youtu.be/yQzudOrfXKk?t=2394 .
With the new MeshTR engine, you can look forward to many

I am very sad to announce that the LWCAD 3ds Max version is officially terminated.

Main reason of the termination are very poor sales of the plugin.
Although the 3dsMax has the biggest user community, very small portion actually using purchased license.
Combined with AutoDesk's pricing policy (milking users), there is very little space for a small third-party developers to succeed with

Another tool that 's missing is a LWCAD version of the Capsule tool. Having one would allow the creation of a nurbs object as well as the use of snapping.

Thanks

When creating a polygonal Box or Cylinder/Cone, it would be great if there was a numeric panel option for adding uniform segments. At present the only way is to add them using LW's Bandsaw Pro, and that doesn't work on LWCAD's Cones.

Also, it would be useful if you could hold the Shift or Ctrl key to drag out uniform sized 1x1x1 objects.

Thanks

Hello

I would like to request the addition of a LWCAD version of the Lathe tool. Since Lightwaves native tool doesn't work on LWCAD curves, it is necessary to convert them to LW lines in order to do the revolving, and then only in polygons. Also LW's tool doesn't have the benefit of LWCAD's snapping and is hard to use at times.

I've come up with a work around where I draw a profile using

It seems that with a spiral staircase greater than 360° the railings (or the curve associated with it) is not drawn greater that 360°. It draws the railing/curve evenly spaced between the top and bottom stairs but not the full length of the stairs.

I just wondered if it's possible to get export for CAD formats like STP or IGS. It would be great to start something in LightWave, then move to another CAD program if I need a tool LWCad doesn't have.

The current betas are not installing for R21 on systems without AVX ie older 2012 Mac Pros running either Windows or Mac Os.
It is a common issue affecting a lot of C4D plugins. Please set AVX to off and SSE2 to on.

1_Predictions for LWCad will start working with multiple Layers.

2_Predictions for LWCad will start working with LW Symmetry or create your own and more intelligent symmetry working with all axis (XYZ).

3_When we can control the curves on all axes.

Thanks Viktor.

Is possible to have tool that covers all common shapes of beams (IPE, HEB, UPN, rectangle, reticulated, etc) in a parametric manner and save the preset?(like the new windows tool or railing tool)?. Would be nice if is possible to draw it like the pipe tool.

I would like to request an addition of controls for the second dash or line.

As of now you can only do dash + solid line, and it doesn't accomplish what I require; short dash and long dash.

The short and long dash next to each other is standard markings in, or through curves to signal that it is unsafe to overtake on that stretch of road.

Solid line is seldom, if ever, used for such.

New project, create a couple of planes, a circle, and a line, making sure they intersect. Grab the line tool, set INT snapping, and try to snap to intersected lines. I re-installed 2018.1 and it worked fine. Then re-installed 2018.3 again and it didn't work. All the other snap types work fine.

Created a nurbs cylinder and applied round to one end.

Result: the round has no nurbs surface, the edge is transparent and no visible nurb surfaces in viewed in Texture mode or Wire.

Any one else have this issue?

LWCAD: 2018.3 RC1

I've always had issues using the Smart selection tool so hope someone can set me straight. With the new release, I'd really like to get a handle on some things.

I've been tracing out a background CAD mesh with Line tool (normally using a combination of Line and Spline).

When I hit the Curves to Surface to convert the shape to a polygon, half the time nothing is made and my drawn curves are gone. I used to think I didn't connect lines enough, but I have my Snap Panel set to only Points.

I've seen this happen on both my Mac & Win machine in LW

Hiya,

I have just upgraded to LWcad 2018, and I can't seem to get walls working with the LW grid snap option in snapping. It works with the fixed UCS grid setting but not the LW grid option, which I prefer as it adapts to my zoom level. Anyone notice this?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi

Does anyone have problems importing Dxf files? I'm saving out of Acad a 2d Dxf to use with LWcad 5.51, sometimes is works most of the time it doesn't.

Using LW 2018.0.7 win 64 on Windows 10 with LWCAD 2018.1

Unless I'm doing something wrong, it seems railings when set to spline or curve the inner (sub posts) do not smooth the same as the top and bottom rails. So they do not connect properly.

I'm hoping I'm just doing something wrong...as this would be great if it worked properly. Loving all the options here.

Also the railing see

I think it would be very helpful to have on the SILL dialog section and checkbox for INSIDE and OUTSIDE. I know most commercial buildings will not have an outside sill but may have an inside sill. Giving them both their respective surfaces (as requested in another post) would be ideal.

Window Sill-In

Window Sill-Out

Otherwise I will use the window tool without a sill and have to c
