I've been using LWCad almost since the first version. This has been a problem since the Round tool was first created. When using it on oddly shaped intersections the corner part gets deleted. In the case below entire edges also get deleted. This leads to a lot of work to fix the problems.
I was attempting to create a complex Nurbs polygon using the Curvs To Surf tool but couldn't get it to work like it was demonstrated in the LWCAD 5 NURBS introduction video. I recreated a similar set a curves, but for some reason it is not making holes in the surface created even though I have make holes button checked.
I'm using LWCad 5.2 in LightWave 2018.4 trying to build a house. I've built the outer walls with the Wall tool, that's fine. But when I try to build the inner walls the polygons disappear every time it intersects a wall. The ends are fine but any polygon that touches another polygon disappears.I've tried messing with any option I can find. Add, Subtract, etc. I've never had this problem before.
What is the best way to preserve the sets of objects(doors, windows, categories) stored into the library from version to version. Or in case there is a reinstall neccessary to a different computer, how can the library file be found and transferred to the new version, computer, install, ect. I am using 5.51, I think the last version before 2018...

So i have a box, trying to have a cylinder subtract a hole into . Doesn't work. See attached. Trying it with various objects , using version 2015.3... LWCAD 5.51 This used to work fine. Now nothing.. Tried reset and reinstall..Nothing. Any suggestions?
Does anyone have a link to a site that gives typical standards for things like wall thickness & height, door height & width, thickness, eave overhang, etc.? I've done some searching but quickly got bogged down with too much technical & regs.
i found that the modern shingles are too large (around 600 mm compared to a more standard size between 400-450 mm). how can i edit the "d3d" files? how is the "allow resizing" feature in LWCAD working? i seem not to be able to resize the scale of the preset shingles.
Hi Victor, I have a question about profiler and engraver tools. I use them very intensively with custom profiles, in past relases were possible to keep the "origina size" of the profile with a very useful button. Is in yours devenlope program to bring back that useful function or there is an "hidden" shortcut to obtain the same result in present relase?
I am trying to understand the Knife tool. I asked for a feature from Viktor for a tool that did more than one cut. I can see that it has 10 lines as specified and the distance between each is specified, but it still only make the one cut. I'm trying to get it to make all the cuts, or is this not what i thought the tool would be.
Hi, I'm using LWcad 5.5 and LW 2015.3. I'm using the shingle tool and when I click on another preset from the library the shingle is not changing. This is even after getting out of the tool, starting fresh and choosing a new preset before I apply the tool. I've checked the preset path and its good. The preview of the shingle is there. Hello,I use lwcad 5.5 with 3dsmax 2016 and when I add a custom shape in library my viewport becomes very slow and sluggish and unable to work.I' ve noticed that my preset objects are very big 2-7 MB compared to the other presets that comes with the plugin.Why is that?Is there a way to create lighter custom objects ex. windows,doors?Thank you!
