I really like the shingles tool. I often use it in combination with the MultiTexture plugin to give each shingle a slightly different color. Therefore each shingle needs a different matID. So to make this tool faster to work with, please implement an option to give each shingle a different matID.
LWCAD 5.5 ROAD LINE crashes on 2015.3 and 2018 not when using straight line tool, but when set to spline or curve mode. Works with a straight line option. Just started playing with cross walk and it crashed also when playing with sizing parameters. Tried unistalling from 2015 and 2018. Reboot, then installed 2018 only..still crashed. Tried installing 2015..same still crashes.

Hello Will be possible to create Smart Element? Smart Element - for example, it's lwcad object(file) which contains complete facade of building's side. We can place it at one of building's side. Or it will contain room(if will be possible osl room - http://julius-ihle.de/?p=2451) Also it has any proxy features: level of detail, load at rendering and etc.
Viktor, I wanted to comment on something as a suggestion, I do not know if it's very far-fetched but I feel that this level of control is missing from the program to work much better. I do not know if you know the DesignToolBox plugin from Atelier Bump. There you can be strict with angles, reference guides etc ... all this very very useful and necessary within the architecture tools.
Is there some compatibility issues between presets of LWCAD 3.x, 4.x and 5.x ?
I have some older files/presets for Shingles and Fences from LWCAD 4.x (or it's 3.x can't say for sure) and i copied all the *.s3d files inside LWCAD presets folders with their corresponding folder with rest of presets but LWCAD don't see any of them, it lists just default presets and nothing else.

Hello Viktor, first of all congratulations for the creation of the plugin for Max, if it works correctly this plugin for me will be an incredible tool, but (there is always a but) I am testing it on 3ds Max 2018 and it is extremely slow, I'll give you an example when I create rails, simple the viewport becomes almost impossible to move and is not precise, you have to convert them to editable mesh
FYI - I have one authorized paid license of the latest version of LWCAD which allows me to also take part in the LWCAD beta trials as further developments continue.

When you have Center snap set in the snapping panel and you draw a line to a rectangle object it won't snap to the center of the object. It works for curves, Circles and Polygons but not for the rectangle tool.
Draw a rectangle
Make sure center snap is activated in the snap panel
Draw a line to the center of the rectangle it won't snap to the center.

Hi I bought a model from a third party that was almost all tri's. When subdivided, it caused lots of non smooth surfaces, so I manually removed the 'extra' diagonal, to form tri's. Easy but time consuming - Is there a tool/algorithm or easy way to this?

I just thought I would mention that in the most recent LWCAD newsletter I received it says a 2nd developer has now been hired and one of his jobs will be "porting LWCAD to other 3D applications". I'm hoping that it means LWCAD tools will be ported to Modo in the future. What do you think?
